Old Guards are a hook-driven, feel-good pop rock power trio from Toronto, Ontario.
Old Guards are British born singer-songwriter and guitarist Scott Olgard, Brazilian born bassist Cesar Brinatti, and Toronto born drummer-songwriter Andrew Shepherd.
Old Guards songs are combustible cocktails of exciting sing-along hooks, layered harmonies, and searing guitarwork built on a rock-solid foundation of danceable grooves. Other songs display an impressive emotional range that is familiar, relatable, and memorable.
Formed in mid-2019, Old Guards have moved quickly to build a dedicated following by sharing the stage with dozens of bands on legendary Toronto venue stages, networking, and social media platform outreach. Lockdown woes delayed – but didn’t derail – Old Guards’ debut EP. 2021 will welcome a cascade of Old Guards releases.
The raucous, radio-ready single ‘Taste’ debuted in December 2020, garnering attention at home as well as in South America, Europe, and Japan. Two additional singles, ‘R&B’ and ‘Answers’, will follow in early 2021.
